The Pandemic Reef Series are a body of work created during the year 2020. The pandemic has not only affected millions of people around the world but it’s now threatening the ocean. Masks, gloves and wipes are floating into waterways and oceans. It is the first time that PPE was added to the data category of pollutants in the ocean in over 35 years. All the works are created with handmade paper and pulp painting using over beaten abaca, hemp and flax.
